When i was 17 (now 20), I was charged with Burglary of a habitation (2nd degree felony in Texas). Worst decision I've ever made, i hate thieves and liars, but i was young and very dumb. i was charged as an adult and was given 2 years pre-trial diversion. it was revoked because i got an MIC. the judge offered 5 years in prison but my lawyer worked something out and i then was sentenced to 45 days in Denton County Jail and 8 years differed probation. Ive been on differed for 10 months now and just got a DUI. I told my PO at our appointment which was a day after i got the MIC. i kept in touch for a few weeks and she said it was not on the police report. now, i'm not sure if she's just saying this to have me arrested when i go to my appointment tomorrow or what. i checked the citation and it's on the county website so i'm guessing she's lying because if i can find it, surely she can, right? i'm not a criminal anymore, i've been in college for 2 years just trying to get on with my life, yes i drink but i wasn't even legally drunk, i'm just a minor. what could i do to not go to prison and have this on my record? am i eligible for house arrest? if i was on house arrest i could still take online classes and even work from home and contribute to society instead of wasting tax payers money sitting in prison. i am also current with my fees and classes. Thank you for your help. i know its a little late but i have stopped drinking. i don't even want to look at a beer. college sucks without drinking though. but now if i get another chance i would never party, just school, work, home im prepared to do time. ill do most of my time in county and MAYBE six months in prison. ive already served a year probation so i would be out on parole in 1 year from now. andy im a pretty big dude so i wont be anyones bride....
