Open Question: Does anyone know the story behind a run-down compound in northern Denton, TX?

There is a run-down multi-building compound north of loop 288 on N. Locust St. (Farm Road 2164) in Denton, TX. It appears as if people still live there, but some of the buildings are in ruins and there is "Stay Out" sign posted on the front fence. I would love to take some pictures of the ruins, but I'm afraid of getting shot. Does anyone know anything about this place?
